Our Startup Program

It is said that luck goes to the prepared. Even if your company’s budget does not include the ability to employ “in house” Loss Prevention Managers, Human Resources Legal Assistant Managers, Competitive Intelligence Managers in your Marketing Department, Security and Corporate Investigations Managers, and New Hire Training Managers, ProtectiveBiz.com will provide those services to you on a monthly contract basis beginning at  $2,500 per month for 20 hours of service each month. An Oakland California jury recently ordered a local company to pay workers 121 million dollars because of workplace discrimination. Our training and management programs will safeguard your company against Employee Discrimination complaints, Sexual Harassment Complaints, Invasion of Privacy Complaints, workplace violence, as well as complaints dealing with the Americans with Disabilities Act, while providing safeguards against the wrongful transfer of intellectual property and trade secrets and the management of security personnel.

Providing economical protection serves the interest of your investors,

your employees and yourself. Call us today for a consultation.

ANNA KOURNIKOVA VIRUS SUSPECT

February 14, 2001

Dutch authorities detain then release suspect
A computer hacker turned himself in Wednesday
and was charged with spreading the Anna
Kournikova computer virus that snarled e-mail
around the world, officials said. He was
promptly released on his own recognizance.
The 20-year-old from the northern province of
Friesland was allowed to go home because the
charges weren't serious enough to hold him in
jail, a police spokesman said. The suspect,
who was not identified under customary privacy
regulations, was detained on suspicion of
damaging computer programs and property, which
carries a maximum four-year jail sentence.

WORKPLACE VIOLENCE STRIKES AGAIN!

On December 26, 2000 a software tester at Edgewater, an Internet Consulting company located in Wakefield, Mass., came to work as usual, talked with his co-workers, and then, according to his fellow workers,  took out a semiautomatic rifle and a shotgun and killed seven of them.  Authorities speculated that the suspect, Michael McDermott, may have been upset at the company's plans to comply with an Internal Revenue Service  request that his wages be garnished to pay off back taxes he owed.

This incident highlights the danger that workplace violence poses to tech companies and their employees.
